Rickshaw Art Exhibition

Presented under the banner Gallery on Wheels, this one-evening exhibition brought Dhaka's rickshaw art into the gallery garden. Hand-painted panels were shown on easels along the brick walls, alongside miniature rickshaws and everyday objects worked in the same idiom of flowers, birds, film faces, and river landscapes.
The presentation followed UNESCO's decision to inscribe the rickshaws and rickshaw painting of Dhaka on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The evening opened with remarks from invited guests.
