Gallery Cosmos hosts 'Shared Horizons'; exhibition marks 50 years of Bangladesh-China ties
Shared Horizons, an exhibition of 28 watercolours marking fifty years of Bangladesh-China diplomatic relations, opened at the Garden Gallery in Baridhara on 19 November 2025.
Gallery Cosmos opened Shared Horizons at Garden Gallery Cosmos, Baridhara, on Tuesday 19 November 2025. The exhibition brought together twenty-eight watercolours by the Chinese painter Ma Baiqi and by Mong Mong Sho, a lecturer at Yunnan Arts University, on the occasion of fifty years of diplomatic relations between Bangladesh and China.
Professor Emeritus Rafiqun Nabi inaugurated the exhibition. Among those present were Li Shaopeng, cultural counsellor at the Chinese Embassy, and the former foreign secretary Farooq Sobhan.
A watercolour workshop for twenty young Bangladeshi artists ran alongside the exhibition.
